Vestibular Rehabilitation Resources
Vestibular rehabilitation is a programme of head, eye and neck movements to assess balance function and re-educate the balance system so the person becomes more stable.
- Access vestibular rehabilitation videos to share with your patients when putting together a tailored vestibular rehabilitation plan. Please note you will need to register (free) to enable access.
- Access patient booklets 'Balance Retraining' and 'Controlling Your Symptoms'.
Please contact us to order copies of our easy to read leaflets and posters to display in your surgery/waiting room. Download a list of healthcare professionals who specialise in vestibular conditions/balance for GPs and others looking to refer a patient for further investigations/treatment. Listed A-Z by county. NHS and private practices are listed. Patients may need a referral from their GP. The Ménière’s Society is unable to recommend a particular health professional. The Dizziness and Me project encourages people to create a piece of artwork, in any medium, to depict their dizziness; their hidden disability. Without using words, to show how they're affected and how it feels. Alongside the artwork we include a photo of the artist to show the face behind the dizziness. Health professionals can also participate, to show their visual interpretation of chronic dizziness.
View the artwork received so far and find out more about the project, including how to submit your own Dizziness and Me art.
