Give As You Earn

If you earn a salary, or if your pension is paid via PAYE, it’s easy to make a donation to the Ménière’s Society. With Give As You Earn you can donate directly from your pre-tax salary, so the money that would normally go to the taxman goes to charity instead. All you have to do is decide how much you want to give each month and your donation will come out of your pay packet before the tax man touches it! You don’t pay any tax on the donations you make, so you can pass the tax relief onto the charity.

To join Give As You Earn your employer will need to be participating in the scheme. Talk to your payroll department or contact the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) on 01732 520000 for more information.

Charity of the Year

If your organisation, school or club has a ‘charity of the year’ or nominated charity, why not suggest the Ménière’s Society? As well as helping us to raise funds, it’s also a great way to help increase awareness of vestibular disorders. We can send copies of our leaflets and posters to provide further information. Click here to contact us for more information.

Donations in lieu of a gifts

If you’re celebrating a birthday or anniversary, or even getting married, and your family and friends are still insisting they’d like to give you a present even though you’ve asked them not to, why not suggest they send a donation to the Ménière’s Society in lieu of a gift. All you need to do is tell your family and friends about us and, if you don’t want to collect the donations yourself, ask them to send their cheque (made payable to Ménière’s Society) direct to us or call us on 01306 876883 to pay over the phone. Payments can also be made via Justgiving (external website). We acknowledge all gifts we receive (providing the sender includes their address details).

My Donate

MyDonate is a not-for-profit, online fundraising service for UK charities.  This service provides a secure, easy-to-use way to raise money for a charity. BT does not charge a commission fee or charge the charities to be a member. The only charge made against your donation is the credit/debit card charge. For more information and to set up fundraising page with my donate visit: www.btplc.com/mydonate/ (external website).

'In Memory Of' Donations

Increasingly people are requesting that donations are being made in memory of loved ones to a charity of their choice, instead of sending flowers at funerals.

How do I make an in memory donation?

All you need to do is let your family and friends know that any donations should be sent to the Ménière’s Society. You can collect the donations yourself. Click here to download a copy of our donation form

Alternatively, let your family and friends know that they can donate online or ask them to send their cheque (payable to Ménière’s Society) direct to us. Alternatively, you can call us on 01306 876883 to donate over the phone.

You can also set up a donation page for the Ménière’s Society using the following third party websites:

JustGiving (This link takes you to an external website)

Love2Donate (This link takes you to an external website)

Virgin Money Giving (This link takes you to an external website)

Donations are made using a credit/debit card. Payments made this way are sent directly to the Ménière’s Society.

How will my donation be used by the Ménière’s Society?

If you choose to make a donation in memory of a loved one to the Ménière’s Society, you may also choose to stipulate how you’d like us to use your gift. Perhaps you’d like it to be for the general use of the Society, which can be applied to the most needed area at the time. Alternatively, you may wish your gift to be reserved specifically for research projects. Whatever your preference, your gift will assist the Society in the work we do and the services we provide to members. Please contact us for further details.
